This complicated mixed use project for a 240 apartment complex was proposed in three 8 storey volumes around a common garden. Each building has a monumental full storey atrium and plays with bridges to access the central apartments, creating alternating facades which we the play with to give an overall pattern of solids and voids to the exterior. These panels are prefabricated with a linear brick finish, giving a warm but contemporary look to the project. Bellow the three blocks, there are common parking areas and two large commercial leaseable spaces. The arched geometry, adapts to a very irregular site but at the same time allows for enough repetition to make the project cost effective. The project was never built because of changes in the urban policies for the site, but as a project it generated interesting apartment typologies for mixed use residential blocks.
